We help sites get seen — by search engines and AI alike
GeoPageScan is a free AI-visibility scanner built by a team of web practitioners with 15 years of combined experience in SEO, structured data and site engineering. We built the tool we always wished existed: one scan that shows how visible your site is to Google and to AI answer engines like ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity — and exactly what to fix first.
Why we built GeoPageScan
For fifteen years, between us, we've built, launched and optimized websites — on WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, custom React stacks and everything in between. We've chased rankings through every Google update, wired up analytics and schema, and learned the unglamorous details that decide whether a page gets found or quietly ignored.
Somewhere in the last few years, the ground shifted. People stopped scrolling ten blue links and started asking ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Google's AI Overviews for the answer directly. Those engines don't just rank pages — they read them, understand them, and decide which sources are clear and trustworthy enough to quote. Being "good at SEO" was suddenly not enough; you also had to be legible to machines that summarize the web.
The problem was that almost nobody could see how they were doing on that new front. Classic SEO tools were built for keywords and backlinks, not for whether an AI can parse your entity, find your llms.txt, or lift a clean answer out of your FAQ. The few tools that touched it were enterprise-priced, one-dimensional, or hid the "why" behind a paywall. Most site owners were flying blind.
So we took the checklists we'd been running by hand on client sites for years and turned them into a single, free scanner. GeoPageScan looks at your page the way a modern engine does — across six scored categories spanning GEO, AEO and SEO — and checks the concrete signals that matter: structured data, llms.txt, crawlability, entity clarity, answer-ready content, metadata and more. Then it hands back a plain-language report and a prioritized list of what to fix first.
We kept it free on purpose. The web works better when good content is easy for both people and machines to find, and we'd rather lower the barrier than gate it. GeoPageScan is the tool we wish we'd had on every project — and we're still adding to it as the engines evolve.
Six disciplines, one score
Generative Engine Optimization
Making your pages easy for AI engines to read, understand and quote — the new front line of discovery beyond ten blue links.
Answer Engine Optimization
Structuring content as clear questions and answers so ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Google's AI surfaces cite you directly.
Technical SEO
Crawlability, indexation, metadata and Core Web Vitals — the fundamentals that still decide whether you show up at all.
Structured data & schema
JSON-LD done right — Organization, FAQPage, Article, HowTo and the types that make your content machine-readable.
llms.txt & AI crawlability
The emerging standard for telling AI crawlers what your site is about — and making sure nothing blocks them by accident.
Content & entity authority
Clear entity definitions, topical depth and the signals that make engines confident enough to name you in an answer.
Principles behind the scan
Practitioner-built
Every check comes from real work shipping and ranking sites — not a theoretical checklist copied from a blog post.
Engine-aware
We track how Google and the major AI answer engines actually read pages, and update the scan as their behaviour changes.
Free & transparent
The core audit is free, needs no signup, and tells you exactly why each score is what it is — no black boxes.
Make every site legible to AI
Search is being rewritten in real time. Over the next few years, more of your traffic — and your credibility — will come from being the source an AI chooses to cite, not just a link on page one. Our mission is simple: make every site, from a solo blog to a growing SaaS, legible to those engines, and put the insight to do it within reach of anyone, for free.
